Premier Sport Services was founded in 2004 with the single goal of teaching and developing proper fundamentals to our student athletes. Originally just a pitching facility, Premier Sport Services has expanded into all areas of the game of fastpitch softball. Learn how to pitch a softball with these softball tips. Expert: Erin Goettlicher Video transcript: I’m Erin Goettlicher, and I’m a professional softball coach. After I played through high school, I went out and played for college level, and then spent a cup of tea at the professional level. I’m self-employed, and own Pro Softball Training. Pro Softball Training offers instruction in all kinds of softball. You name it, we can do it. Today, I will be talking to you about softball. Becoming a pitcher in fast-pitch softball needs to be a commitment. Pitchers need to be able to put in a lot of extra time, hard work, and dedication to be good at what they do. Pitching underhand in the windmill style is a very specific skill. It’s not something that we can just do overnight. If you decide to become a fast pitch pitcher, you need to be willing to put in lots of extra time. This means coming early to practice, staying late, and also finding time to pitch outside of practice. Most pitchers are going to be throwing 4 to 5, 6 days a week. In order to keep their arm in good shape, not only in condition, but also to continue improving. Many fast pitch pitchers find a pitching instructor at a very young age. It’s important to learn the mechanics of pitching correctly from the start. Once you learn those mechanics correctly, now you can start fine tuning those skills and becoming good at what you do. Any way that you can find to put in extra time and practice in pitching is important
